Picture of the Day: the classic Monaco panorama from Roquebrune

THE iconic angle looking west over Monaco, taken from the former Vista Palace hotel in Roquebrune, an eagle’s nest perched 330m above the Mediterranean. To get here, you need a car and drive up towards the motorway access ramp in the direction of Italy – lots of construction work near the hotel which is being rebuilt going on but it is worth it, especially at sunset!

  1. Kevin, do you have any idea when the renovations on the hotel will be finished? Visiting in July & would love to take a peek from up there.

    • It may be a while, currently the whole building has been discreetly demolished and is now being rebuilt, so I would say before 3 or 4 years. You can still see the nice view, but have to watch out for the traffic…
